A SCHEME has celebrated contributing more than £8 million to help fund heating for vulnerable Selby residents.
The Health Through Warmth scheme, run by npower, was launched in 2000, and has given residents with low incomes, or little or no savings, more than £8m towards the cost of heating.
Elaine Midwinter, npower Health Through Warmth scheme manager, comments: “In a month where temperatures were at an all-time-low for the time of year, the existence of schemes such as Health Through Warmth has never been more important. It’s great that we have been able to make such a commitment to improving the levels of warmth and comfort for thousands of people across England and Wales.”
