A BID to earn Green Flag status for a York park is to be made by council bosses.
City of York Council is to look into securing the accolade for Hull Road Park, following a consultation meeting between local councillors Neil Barnes and Fiona Fitzpatrick, the authority’s officials and community groups.
The meeting also discussed investment proposals for the park. Coun Fitzpatrick said: “The park is a valuable community resource and used by many, and we have assured residents from the start that we will work with the community to ensure it continues to be clean, well-maintained and safe.”
