STAFF at one of York’s best known department stores handed over a cheque for more than £3,200 to a group bikers who provide emergency support for the NHS.
Every year Fenwick in Coppergate chooses a good cause to support and this year staff raised money for White Knights, motorcyclists who transport blood and organs to hospitals in the region.
On Monday the White Knights turned up at the store to receive the cheque.
Linsey Wood, the store’s operations manager, said: “The funds were raised from a tombola held on the Fenwick annual shopping evening in December and sales from the Fenwick charity Christmas cards.”
