WE would like to thank everyone who supported York Inset Scooter Club and Ryedale Riders Motorcycle Club on the mods and rockers charity run.
We were delighted to raise £600, which will be shared between the York branch of the Normandy Veterans’ Association and Ryedale Special Families.
A wonderful event was attended by more than 200 riders and we are most grateful to last year’s Lord Mayor, Coun David Horton, his wife, Jane, and former Sheriff Alan Deller for joining us to start the run.
A minute’s silence was observed in memory of the veterans’ chairman Cyril Haworth and York Inset member John Martin.
We look forward to an even greater event next year.
