Jim Mills and John Wooldridge were unbeaten as Bootham ‘A’ beat Crescent ‘B’ 8-2, though the losers were unfortunate to see four points dropped in sets which went to a final game.
RI ‘E’ secured the necessary points for a play-off spot, with a 6-4 win over Tramways, for whom Mike Robinson turned in a fine performance to win his singles.
York RI ‘C’ are division two champions, while York RI ‘F’ and Bootham ‘D’ are relegated to division three.
The division three title rests between Shepherds ‘D’ and Holgate ‘C’, who play in the final fixture of the season.

York RI ‘H’ are relegated with Aviva ‘A’ in danger of the same fate.
