A MAN has been found dead outside a North Yorkshire police station.
The body of the man, who is believed to be in his 60s, was discovered by an officer in the visitors car park at Harrogate Police Station, on Beckwith Head Road, at about 4.20pm today, with a gun also being found at the scene.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the circumstances surrounding the death are now being investigated, but it is not believed to be suspicious and they are not looking for anybody in connection with it.
The dead man has not yet been named and the police station is currently closed following the discovery of the body. People are being asked to use the station at Craven Lodge, on Victoria Avenue, Harrogate, or call the force on 101 to report a crime or speak to an officer.
