OPPONENTS of plans for new homes and a bypass on the edge of Beverley have said they will continue to fight the proposals.
David Wilson Homes has withdrawn its appeal against East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s decision to turn down its application for 163 homes near Driffield Road, in Beverley, but the company has said it intends to lodge revised plans.
Peter Morris, development director for David Wilson Homes Yorkshire East, said the firm was working with the council to “resolve any outstanding issues” and said it hoped to submit the application as soon as possible.
David Tucker, of the North Beverley Action Group, said residents were prepared to keep opposing the scheme and claimed Beverley was bearing the brunt of a lack of housing supply in the region.
