SUPERMARKET chain Morrisons has asked for its planned new store in York city centre to have longer opening hours so it can compete with rivals.
The company announced last month that it is to move into the former Jessops shop in Spurriergate later this year, creating 15 to 20 jobs.
Morrisons has now applied to City of York Council for the premises’ trading terms to be altered so it can operate between 6am and 11pm daily.
