SIMON DYSON finished joint-40th at the Ballantine’s Championship at Blackstone Golf Club in Incheon, South Korea.
The York-born golfer moved up to tenth on the leaderboard on Saturday after a three under par round of 69 took him to four under for the tournament.
However, he slipped back after closing out the weekend with a three over par 75, with his finish earning him 12,568 euros. The tournament was won by Australia’s Brett Rumford after a three-way play-off.
Following rounds of 71 and 72 on the opening two days, Dyson went in search of birdies in round three and bagged five – on the first, fourth, ninth, 11th and 13th.
His only two dropped shots came at the sixth and 18th.
On the final day, the Malton & Norton Golf Club star dropped two shots on the front nine and two on the back nine before picking up a birdie on the last.
