YORK police are hunting for an alleged drugs smuggler from the city after he failed to appear for his trial at Plymouth Crown Court.
Robert John Steele, 28, whose last known address was in Tang Hall, is charged with illegally importing cocaine, Ecstasy, the Class B drug MMC and the Class C drug Ketamine. He also faces allegations of supplying Class A, B and C Drugs.
Detective Inspector Dave Kirby called on Steele to hand himself in. He also urged any member of the public who sees him to contact the police immediately by calling 101, or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
Steele is also believed to have connections with the Leeds area.
