A TAXI driver turned author is about to publish his third novel since he hung up his car keys two-and-a-half years ago.
David Corbishley, 67, was a taxi driver in York for 16 years, but it was not until he retired that he was able to fully pursue his love of writing.
Mr Corbishley, of Clifton, said: “I had always done a bit of writing, but never really stuck at it. Then I wrote my first book, Harry’s Legacy, and published it as an eBook and then I did a second, Sidney’s and now I’m through my third.”
He said the books are “comedy thrillers” about the strange goings on in a fictional North Yorkshire village and centre on a resident who has returned from Singapore to sort out his dead father’s will.
His third book has the working title Maria’s Legacy and, like the previous two, will be available for Amazon Kindle.
