Roxanne Pallett has been admitted to hospital.
The former 'Emmerdale' star was overcome with severe pain yesterday (29.04.13) and had to be rushed to the Princess Royal Hospital in Bromley, Kent, to treat a severe kidney infection.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "She was on the way to the theatre. It's a severe kidney infection.
"She's very clean-living. She doesn't drink or smoke and looks after herself, although she is a workaholic."
Roxanne was travelling to Cambridge for her role in 'The Rocky Horror Show' when the crippling pain struck.
The 29-year-old actress - who is dating her co-star Harry Neale - has been undertaking a tough training routine since landing the part of Janet Weiss in the cult musical.
In the run-up to the show, the petite brunette was rehearsing for up to eight hours a day and cut out fattening foods in order to lose 15 pounds and feel her best on stage.
She recently told OK! Magazine: "During the rehearsal period for 'Rocky Horror', I realised I needed to feel confident with my body to play that role with conviction because the audience can see if you're not comfortable.
"When you're on television, or film, or on stage, you can't hide - you have to be in the costume of that character and most of the time it's sexy or revealing. You have to be confident."
