York Cares launched its Team Challenge Week with a volunteer dog walk.
The charity, which runs a volunteering programme for businesses, arranged for more than 100 volunteers to take part in a variety of activities at across the city.
As part of RSPCA Week, teams from local businesses took part in a programme of dog walking, gardening and painting challenges at the York Animal Home in Landing Lane.
Dog owners have also been able to receive free micro chipping for their pets throughout the week.
Earlier this week, York Cares teamed up with the Friends of York Cemetery to help clear vegetation on the 24-acre site, which is a haven for local wildlife.
