'The Big Reunion' is returning for a second series.

The ITV2 show will bring back several "blasts from the past" and offer the forgotten bands another chance at fame, following on from the smash success of the first series.

Girl bands All Saints and Eternal are being lined up to star, as well as boy band A1, urban group Big Brovaz and chart-toppers S Club 7 and East 17.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "The first series did so well, it was always a no-brainer to give it a second run.

"We are still in the process of approaching bands, but we are confident of getting brilliant names on board. Names should be confirmed within the next two weeks."

The first series - which drew in over one million viewers - saw Atomic Kitten, Five, Blue, Liberty X, The Honeyz, B*Witched and 911 candidly discussing the pitfalls of fame and their fall from grace as well as gearing up for their first gigs in years.

Producers are now also hoping to film a follow-up documentary about their backstage antics during the upcoming UK arena tour.

The insider added: "The follow-up will give viewers a chance to see the first series' acts again and fill the gap between now and series two."
