A £164,000 scheme to improve roads at two of Hambleton’s business parks is to start next week.
Once the work is completed, the routes in Northallerton and Stokesley will be formally adopted as highways by North Yorkshire County Council. The scheme will replace kerbs, channels and road edges and also involve some resurfacing work at Thurston Road in Northallerton and Ellerbeck Court in Stokesley.
The two business parks were created by Hambleton District Council, which is currently responsible for them, and work on drainage and sewers has already been completed.
The Northallerton scheme will start next Tuesday and is expected to take four to six weeks to complete, while the work at Stokesley will begin on June 3 and will be carried out over a three to four-week period.
