TWO youths face trial later this year after denying the murder of a 50-year-old Acomb man.
Liam Matthew Wyard, 20, and a 16-year-old who cannot be identified because of his age, both pleaded not guilty at Leeds Crown Court yesterday to murdering David Keith Wright on January 31 this year.
Mr Wright, of Bouthwaite Drive, was allegedly assaulted on January 21 in Acomb Road. He was taken to York Hospital before he was transferred to Leeds General Infirmary, where he later died.
The trial is expected to take place on August 12.
Wyard, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody while the teenager was remanded to secure accommodation.
