YORK charity Caring for Cats has been shortlisted for Animal Charity Team of the Year in a national award.
The Petplan and Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH) Animal Charity Awards celebrate the work of animal charities and not-for-profit organisations across the UK, and recognise the hard work, dedication and commitment of charity teams, volunteers and employees.
Caring for Cats is run entirely by volunteers and also offers young people with learning difficulties a chance to gain work experience.
Rose Atkin, charity co-ordinator and co-founder of Caring for Cats, said: “We are extremely proud that our small charity has been shortlisted for this national award.
“Our thanks go to everyone who took the time to nominate us. We couldn’t have got this far without all our dedicated supporters and hard-working volunteers.”
