RAWCLIFFE Tigers lifted the York FA Under-14s Minor Cup after a 4-0 victory over Heworth Rangers in the final at York City’s Bootham Crescent ground.
Rawcliffe dominated the climax of the Wallis Business Services-sponsored competition, although Heworth battled to the end and had a late strike disallowed.
The Rawcliffe opener came after ten minutes when a Cam Taylor long ball found Jack Daniel, who slipped it past Heworth ’keeper Rob Hay.
Daniel turned provider for the second as the ’keeper parried and Alex Tattersall netted on 30 minutes. Jamie Butt and Taylor sealed the win.
Bob Stuart, of the York FA, presented the trophies.
