A HAT-TRICK of goals from Charles Ford propelled Dunnington to a 4-0 victory over Woodthorpe Wanderers in the final of the Ryedale Junior Football League Under-11s Plate.
The division one rivals met in the final at York City’s Bootham Crescent ground and Dunnington broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when Ford netted with a 25-yard strike.
Two minutes later, Ford made a fine solo run to score and put Dunnington 2-0 up at half-time. Tom Fleet bagged Dunnington’s third on 40 minutes and Ford completed his hat-trick five minutes from time.
League secretary Brian Drew presented the trophies.
