KIAN OLIVER ran in four tries as Heworth ARLC Under-11s beat Stanley Rangers.
Oliver’s effort earned him the man-of-the-match and the opposition’s man-ofthe- match awards, while Jak Ostergaard scored a hat-trick of tries to pick up the parents’ player accolade.
Jack Moore was the Villagers’ other try scorer and he supplied the magic moment.
Austin Cole made good yards and tackled well to win the top tackler award.
Bradley Burns ran the ball in well and also converted one of Oliver’s tries.
Heworth U10s defeated Birstall Victoria in a game dominated by the Villagers’ Leon Mooring, who scored five tries and topped the tackle count.
Kane Cavanagh was Heworth’s other try-scorer, while Callum Rutland and Myles Harrison worked hard for the Villagers.
Man-of-the-match Lewis Young was New Earswick All Blacks U11s’ hat-trick hero against Hemsworth Dragons.
Young was also opposition man-of-the-match and parents’ player, while the magic moment was shared by Joshua Walton and Frank Strange.
Sam Briggs and Gunes Simsek were joint most improved players, while Ellena Powell was top tackler.
