OUR council appears reluctant to spend any money on roads and streets, unless it is in promoting the 20mph limits, which I am neither for nor against.
We do have this already in The Groves and I do not know if it works.
What is clear is that people are becoming more and more frustrated at the state of our streets and roads.
Why doesn’t the council just leave them all, then tell everyone the 20mph is across the city?
There, problem solved, as no one will be able to go over 20mph as the streets and roads won’t let you. Your car may suffer serious damage and become unroadworthy, but I am sure the council doesn’t really care.
Gary Mitchell, The Groves, York.
