Billy Hickling, of Stomp, meets Year 4 and Year 5 pupils at Park Grove School in York.
Billy has been running junk percussion workshops in York’s schools, pupil support centres and youth clubs.
Young people who are interested can continue the experience in a regular junk percussion band – Trash Bang Crew – at Door 84 Youth Club, in Lowther Street every Monday night from 6pm to 7.30pm. The sessions cost £1.
The activities were made possible through a partnership with Music4U, which receives its funding from Youth Music.
