YORK residents are now able to renew their York Cards which will allow them cut-price entry to the city’s tourist attractions and leisure centres.

The cards cost £3 and also act as library cards, with people on certain benefits able to get them from City of York Council free of charge for the first time.

They can be applied for at any of the city’s libraries with proof of identity, York residency and, if appropriate, benefit entitlement in the form of a letter from the awarding body.
