A new exhibition at the Norman Rea Gallery at the University of York focuses on the work of two local artists, bringing together sculptural works and detailed pen and ink drawings.
Unity And Simplicity presents the work of artists Peter Donohoe and Andrea MacKinnon, and is curated by undergraduate students Lydia Jesudason and Joanna Sterngold of the university’s department of history of art.
Peter Donohoe works in copper and explores new ways of figurative representation, while Andrea MacKinnon creates large-scale, meticulously detailed pen and ink drawings.
The Norman Rea Gallery is run by students at the University of York and hosts three exhibitions a term with lectures, seminars and events.
The exhibition is free and open to all and will be on show on weekdays until June 4. For more information, visit thenormanreagallery.co.uk
