A YORK MP has launched a page on his website devoted to the debate over a blueprint for the city’s future development.
An eight-week consultation on City of York Council’s draft Local Plan, including potential sites for building 22,000 homes up to 2030, begins today and runs until July 31.
York Outer MP Julian Sturdy said his page would include information about the proposals and outline his opposition to plans for housing on green-belt land. Mr Sturdy said information issued by the council on plans for new travellers’ sites and windfarms had been “completely insufficient”.
More information from the council on the Local Plan is at york.gov.uk/localplan and by following @CityofYork on twitter.
