YORK residents and tourists have rushed to show their support for the NRM and the campaign to save it.
The Press launched a petition against the possible closure yesterday, and it is already gathering huge support online.
Petition forms have also been distributed to many shops, pubs and cafes in the city centre and many managers were confident they would quickly gather overwhelming support.
Thomas the Baker in King’s Square had filled its first form within an hour of delivery.
Over the coming days, petition forms will also be sent to all newsagents that sell The Press, so readers and customers can show their support.
If your business would like a petition form, a downloadable version is available,
