ANOTHER public meeting is be held in Heslington about York’s draft Local Plan, including proposals to allocate nearby land for a new town.
The meeting is being organised by local City of York Councillor David Levene at Heslington Parish Church at 7pm on Monday.
Coun Levene said council leader James Alexander and a representative of landowners Halifax Estates will be attending. He said people could look at an exhibition of maps and supporting documents for the plan between 6pm and 7pm.
About 50 residents attended a previous meeting at the church, organised by the parish council, at which people strongly criticised proposals for a 5,500 home community dubbed Whinthorpe on the other side of the A64 from Heslington.
