HOW come York Hospital escaped the Keogh report?

Every year without fail the winter vomiting bug rears its ugly head; why can’t it be eradicated?

In 2001, when my husband died in there, MRSA was rife and the cleaners admitted they didn’t get long enough to do a thorough clean between patient changeovers.

I was outraged at my husband’s treatment immediately after his operation. If there had been proper care and hygiene, according to the post-mortem, he would have survived.

I and my daughter asked for a meeting afterwards to thrash out what went wrong, but unfortunately we were outnumbered by medical staff and got no satisfaction.
