FIREFIGHTERS have rescued a woman from the River Ouse in York.
The woman was pulled from the water near the Bonding Warehouse at Skeldergate Bridge at about 8.45 pm last night, said a spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service.
He said she was conscious and paramedics were called, who took her to hospital for a check-up.
He said the crew had gone out in the service’s rescue boat, moored just across the river from the warehouse, after the service receiving a call saying a woman had gone in the water.
