AN ART exhibition staged by a resident of The Retreat, in Strensall, helped raised £120 for charity.
Lord Angus Bicester chose to raise funds for a very personal organisation, Arthritis Research UK, after suffering with the condition.
The long-term resident has been painting and selling his work in York for charity for a number of years, but this is the first time he has organised an exhibition of this size.
With the help of staff at The Retreat, he was able to put together a wide collection of paintings for sale.
Following its success, he hopes to hold more exhibitions in future. He is pictured with Kathryn Leverett, senior regional fundraising manager for Arthritis Research UK.
