YORK Barbican is to host global singing sensation Susan Boyle on her newly announced tour.
Dates for her first ever UK tour have been unveiled, and the Britain’s Got Talent star will perform in York on Sunday, March 23.
Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, at 10am from £37.50.
The Barbican hosted Scottish singer KT Tunstall earlier this week, and Operations manager Steve Ford: “We are thrilled to have Susan coming to our theatre. Adding an artist of her calibre to next year’s diverse calendar makes us even more excited about 2014.”
The 19 UK dates make up Susan’s first full headline tour and follow a seven night tour in Scotland in summer, launched when she said she finally felt confident enough to perform a solo set.
Susan said: “I’ve always wanted to do my own show and after the reception I received in Scotland I cannot wait to get back on stage. I’ve chosen some of my favourite songs from past albums and also new songs that not only have I wanted to perform for years but resonate with me and I hope my fans will love.”
The UK tour will start on March 22 in Liverpool, and end on April 17 in Northampton.
