A REVAMPED village post office near Selby is back in business.
To celebrate the launch of the new-look Bubwith Post Office, Haltemprice and Howden MP David Davis cut the ribbon at a ceremony on Friday.
Mr Davis said: “I welcomed the news that Bubwith Post Office was to be modernised and am delighted to be here to congratulate owners Brian and Pauline Windsor on their hard work and to formally open the new-look branch.
"The post office is vital to the community in Bubwith and I’m confident that the improvements, and the longer opening hours will be warmly welcomed by my constituents.”
Mr Windsor said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to modernise the branch and I am very pleased to be officially launching it for the community.
"I hope our customers like the new branch and I’d like to thank David Davis for taking time from his busy schedule to come here. I’d also like to thank the local community for their continued support and use of the branch.”
The post office will be open from 8am to 10pm Mondays to Saturdays and 9am to 9pm on Sundays.
