A YORK nursery has joined in national celebrations to mark a special birthday.
Busy Bees opened its first nursery in Lichfield in March 1984, with other nurseries soon opening across the country. The company now has 213 nurseries across the UK.
Last week, the York Busy Bees, based at Rawcliffe, joined in celebrations taking place across the country to mark the company’s anniversary.
Every Busy Bees nursery hosted a special birthday tea party for children, parents, staff and VIP guests to mark the actual day Busy Bees was founded.
Belinda Hammond, nursery manager, said children were invited to dress up in their favourite bee costumes to ensure the celebrations went “off with a buzz”.
