Jack Powell, 21, hitting ‘road’ to help Indian poor
A NORTHALLERTON man is planning a gruelling 12-hour exercise challenge to help tackle poverty in Northern India.
Jack Powell, 21, will spend 12 hours on a spinning bike in Northallerton Town Square on Wednesday, December 18.
He is travelling to India in January on the Government-funded International Citizen Service (ICS) for 12 weeks, and needs to raise £800 before the end of December.
Jack said: “I’ve been training hard, and I’m hoping everyone will give generously.”
In India he will be working with development charity Restless Development to help young people make responsible decisions on their health and sexual health.
