THE University of York Boat Club will host their annual White Rose Head race on Saturday.
The three-kilometre head-to-head rowing race on the River Ouse between the university boathouse and the Lowther pub involves university rowing clubs from across the region.
Last year’s White Rose Head included teams from York St John, University of Manchester, University of Sheffield, University of Hull, Sheffield Hallam, University of Durham and War of the Roses rivals University of Lancaster.
The division one programme starts at 10.30am and includes the men’s senior fours, senior women’s eights, beginner men’s fours and beginner women’s eights.
Division two, getting under way at 1.30pm, includes senior men’s eights, senior women’s fours, beginner men’s eights and beginner women’s fours.
