DONATIONS to the York Foodbank can now be made at the York branch of the Yorkshire Building Society, in Feasegate.

Rosie Brierley, assistant branch manager, said: “For some, Christmas can be the hardest time of the year and we want to try and help reduce that hardship where we can.

“We’ve got a very big Christmas box set up inside the branch just waiting to receive donations of non-perishable goods that the foodbank can send out in time for Christmas.

“The Yorkshire has opened its doors to donations of items such as tins, pasta, biscuits, cereals, fruit juices, snacks and other non-perishable items, until Friday.”
