THE search for a missing Riccall man is continuing today, more than a week after he was last seen by his family.
Simon Hodgson-Greaves, 47, was reported missing on Saturday, but was last seen by his family on Saturday, December 15.
Mr Hodgson-Greaves’ camper van was reported to North Yorkshire Police by a member of the public who became concerned after it was parked at the RSPB visitor centre at Bempton Cliffs near Bridlington.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said Mr Hodgson-Greaves is known to take frequent camping trips and likes to go walking, but said they were concerned for his safety and are exploring the possibiliity he may have got into difficulties while out walking.
He is described as white, about six feet tall with a slim build. He has sandy coloured hair, a greying beard and moustache, blue eyes and wears spectacles. The police spokesman said he is known to dress very smartly and often wears tweed jackets, shirts and scarves.
Anyone who has seen Mr Hodgson-Greaves is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
