SHERIFF Hutton Jumblies have kicked off another year of fundraising.
The group held its first jumble sale of 2014 at the village hall last Saturday. The event raised £1,789 for the parish church.
Last year, the Jumblies raised a record-breaking £17,122 for charity through their sales.
They have also supported the Guide Dogs for the Blind, Sheriff Hutton School PTFA and Play Area, The Chanticleer Singers, Ryedale Leisure, British Heart Foundation, Alne Hall, Macmillan Cancer Support, the Samaritans and the NSPCC.
The group’s next jumble sale will be on Saturday, February 22, at 2pm, in the village hall. It will be raising money for the village playgroup.
