The family of a Riccall man who has been missing for more than 10 days have made an emotional plea for him to get in touch.
Simon Greaves-Hodgson has not been seen since December 15 and his campervan was found abandoned on Bempton Cliffs on December 21.
Police say his family are now very anxious for Simon to get in touch and let them know he is safe.
Simon’s mum and his sisters, Julia, Rachel and Kate, have issued the following message.
"Simon, we hope that you are safe and well and we ask that you contact either the police or one of us to let us know that you are. We miss you very much and we can help sort out anything if you will only talk to us.
“Just also to let you know that mum is not well again and would really like to see you as soon as possible please.
“Thinking of you and hoping we will see you very soon. Lots of love, Mum, Julia, Rachel and Kate.”
Searches are still going on around Bempton Cliffs and police are appealing to the public, especially people who have been in the area, to contact them if they think they may have seen Simon or have any information about his whereabouts. He is described as white, around 6ft tall, with a slim build.
He has sandy coloured hair, a greying beard and moustache, blue eyes and wears spectacles. It is not known what he will be wearing, but he often dresses very smartly in tweed jackets, shirts and scarves.
Contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass information to the Force Control Room. The Missing People charity can be contacted confidentially, 24 hours a day, on 116 000.
