Three generations of the Clark family who own Lady Anne Middleton’s hotel, Andrew Clark, his grand daughter Jolanda Hind, her mother Henny Clark and Henny’s mother Käthe.
WE HAVE just started the renovation of the original Lady Anne building.
Having removed a wall plaque, we found the signatures of four men. One is my father and the others are: Harold Blackborn, 26.3.34 (my dad’s best friend) and then also W. Arthur, bricklayer, born in York, 4.9.1904 and KS Welsh, joiner, frame fixer....no date of birth but the date of the start of works which was June 27, 1973.
