Horse rescued from ditch
A HORSE has been rescued from a ditch in York.
The eight-year-old mare called Shanty became stuck in a ditch at Bad Bargain Lane, Heworth, at about 12.30pm on Saturday.
Firefighters with specialist horse rescue equipment freed the animal.
