BEER lovers can now get a taste of liquid gold thanks to a North Yorkshire brewer.
Nick Stafford, of Hambleton Ales, based at Melmerby, near Ripon, has launched a new beer for 2014 called As Good As Gold.
The beer will appeal to coeliacs, people who suffer from a dietary disorder caused by gluten.
As Good As Gold is gluten free and the name was chosen carefully to reflect that it will not unsettle the sensitive stomachs of coeliacs.
Speaking about his latest product, Mr Stafford said: “It focuses on the good feeling our beer imparts; comforting in winter and refreshing in summer.
“The antique gold colour highlights the refined balance of flavours from a subtle variety of malts and hops.”
