I had the misfortune the other day of having to ring 118118 for the number to York Hospital.
Being out of the York area, I don’t have a York directory and had no internet access, which would obviously have been the first options.
I have just received my BT bill and was stunned to see that my 45-second call cost £3.58. It would have been cheaper to drive there.
Clever marketing on their behalf though since much as I could remember the men with moustaches and Maureen being nice, 118118 was the only number that had embedded itself in my mind, and still is, but for different reasons. Beware!
