YORK-based CPP still has much to do to redeem itself following the misselling scandal.
But new chief executive Brent Escott has made a good start. The firm’s difficulties were not caused by its hard-working staff, he says, but by managers who grew the business too quickly through an “aggressive selling culture”.
Let’s hope that lesson has been learned and that, for the sake of the hundreds of York people who work there, CPP succeeds in re-establishing itself as a viable, ethical business.
