POLICE are still searching for a Riccall man who has been missing for more than two weeks.

Today, officers have released a recent picture of Simon Hodgson-Greaves, whose camper van was found in the RSPB car park at Bempton Cliffs, near Bridlington, on December 21. He was last seen by his family on December 15.

Extensive searches of the cliffs by North Yorkshire Police, the coastguard, the RNLI, RAF Leconfield and volunteers from Scarborough and Ryedale Search & Rescue Team over the Christmas period, failed to find Mr Hodgson-Greaves.

Last week, Mr Hodgson-Greaves’ mother and sisters, Julia, Rachel and Kate, issued a statement pleading for him to get in touch.

They said: “Simon, we hope that you are safe and well and we ask that you contact either the police or one of us to let us know that you are. We miss you very much and we can help sort out anything if you will only talk to us.

“Just also to let you know that mum is not well again and would really like to see you as soon as possible please. Thinking of you and hoping we will see you very soon.”

He is described as white, about 6ft tall, with a slim build. He has sandy coloured hair, a greying beard and moustache, blue eyes and wears spectacles. Officers said they did not know what he is wearing, but he is known to dress very smartly and often wears tweed jackets, shirts and scarves.
