A LAST-GASP penalty corner goal saw Acomb Ladies I snatch a 3-3 draw with Wakefield Wanderers in Yorkshire Hockey League division two.
The hard-fought game at Energise in York was punctuated by a string of injuries as the mid-table rivals battled it out.
The Tangerines went a goal down after ten minutes, but equalised almost immediately with a strike by veteran Wendy Watson.
Kerry Woods made some telling runs into the heart of the visitors’ defence but was unable to come up with a second goal.
Acomb lost Georgi Wood to a hand injury for much of the half, which allowed the visitors to take the lead, despite Jane Elsworth being strong in defence.
Wakefield doubled their advantage early in the second half, but with five minutes remaining Emma Watson slotted a loose ball into the net from a tight angle to give the Tangerines hope.
Wood then scored from a penalty corner with the last move of the game to earn a point for Acomb.
