A CHILDREN’S charity in York is looking for a new chairman to head up its work in providing new opportunities for children.
York Playspace provides “chill-out zones” during term time at Moor Lane Youth Centre, Tang Hall Community Centre and the 68 Centre in Heworth, as well as holiday play schemes in the city and elsewhere, through staff and volunteers and now wants a “dynamic and imaginative leader” to join its team of trustees.
Previous committee experience is needed, although not necessarily as a chairman, and support and training will be provided.
The role is voluntary, but “reasonable” expenses will be provided and more information is at yorkplayspace.org.uk
Informal discussions about the position with the charity, which is based in Fulford, can also be arranged by phoning Alison Shepherd on 01904 627285 or emailing alison@yorkplayspace.org.uk
