TRAFFIC has been disrupted by surface flooding on some main roads in York this morning, following heavy overnight rain.
Malton Road, between New Lane and Heworth Road, is particularly badly affected, with the road just passable but motorists facing delays. In the early hours, the situation was worse, with only the bus lane useable.
Nunnery Lane and Castle Mills Bridge have also been affected by flooding overnight, and Bishopgate Street was also reported to be just passable this morning.
There has also been queueing traffic and long delays on the A1079 at Wilberfoss.
