A MOTORIST was hurt in a crash which involved a police car in York.
The crash happened at about 8.20am on Monday in Hayley’s Terrace, and involved a police vehicle which was responding to a report of an assault, and a silver Vauxhall Zafira.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “As a result of the collision, the 44-year-old York man driving the Zafira, suffered minor injuries.
“The collision has been reported to North Yorkshire Police’s Professional Standards Department.
“A senior investigating officer, from the force’s Roads Policing Group, is conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the collision.”
