Yorkshire Ladies were disappointed as they crashed out of the Atherley Trophy 131-97 away to Nottinghamshire.
They enjoyed just one winning rink, that of Sue Allen. Her team got off to a great start leading 20-0 after only eight ends and going on to win 31-11.
Pat Walker’s team started solidly to lead 7-2 after five ends but then found themselves 12-7 behind. Needing a three on the last end to draw, they could only nab a two and lost 16-15.
Beryl Alderson’s side went into their last end needing a single to draw level but they dropped a shot and lost 19-17.
Otherwise it was a disappointing afternoon as the other three rinks lost heavily with Helen Wood’s going down 30-11, Carol Instone’s 30-13 and Helen Walker’s 24-10.
